China Jilin Province’s first 5G + Medical Remote Surgery and Telesurgery Training

China, Jilin Province, has just successfully completed the first 5G+ medical remote surgery and telesurgery training using Softfoundry FacePro Xpert system. Professor Zhang Xuewen, Dean of the Second Hospital of Jilin University and expert of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, successfully guided the first 5G+ medical remote surgery and telesurgery training in Jilin Province. Under the help of 5G technology and FacePro Xpert system, the operation was successfully performed under the remote guidance and teaching from Professor Zhang. The whole process was coherent, accurate, of high video clarity and no delay in audio transmission. Relying on 5G technology remote surgery, remote collaborative surgery and telesurgery teaching can continuously optimize and re-create safer and more efficient medical procedures. The digital medical integrated service system effectively improves the medical service capacity.
